I'm gravitating to painting more abstractly, venturing into the unknown. The process of asking, if this, then what? Bold strokes, covering an area, uncovering, and trying a texture, maybe linework. Experimenting with new materials is exciting. Working intuitively leads me to unpredictable outcomes.

It doesn't mean I'm done with realism. I often need to tether myself to something real. It's often a starting place for me.
