Gallery > Connection With All Living Things

Trees and butterflies are my metaphors for all living things endangered by human interventions and climate change. My intention in these paintings is to highlight the beauty of various species and bring attention to the dangers of their current existence.

We humans lose sight of the web that connects us all and that the health of other species is directly linked to our own. Forests breathe in the carbon that we humans produce and breathe out oxygen that we need for life. We deplete our forests at our own peril. In my role as an artist, I feel I can capture some emotional truths to bring about change in how we view our interconnections with all living things.
